About Our Special Guest Speaker
Shane Stanley is a multi-Emmy® Award-winning filmmaker and author with extensive experience in Hollywood. As a child actor, he appeared in over 100 projects alongside legendary figures such as June Lockhart, Lloyd Haynes, and David Arkin. He developed his filmmaking skills at an early age, operating cameras and editing equipment proficiently.
Shane's notable achievements include producing the acclaimed docu-drama series, The Desperate Passage, which garnered 13 Emmy® Awards out of 33 nominations and spawned two successful feature films. He also served as Vice President of Sheen/Michaels Entertainment, producing motion pictures starring renowned actors like Marlon Brando, Mira Sorvino, Thomas Hayden Church, Donald Sutherland, Marisa Tomei, Sean Penn, John Travolta, Charlie Sheen, and Martin Sheen.

In 2004, Shane made his directorial debut with the film A Sight for Sore Eyes, which received numerous awards, including the Special Jury Award at WorldFest Houston. He has also directed music videos, some of which reached #1 on VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown.
Shane's directing credits extend to commercials and feature films such as Mistrust, Break Even, Double Threat, and Night Train. His book, "What You Don't Learn in Film School," has gained critical acclaim and is considered one of the best filmmaking books of all time.
With an impressive list of awards, including Emmy®, Telly, and Aurora Awards, Shane Stanley is recognized for his contributions to the film industry. He has spoken at prestigious film institutes.
Shane and his wife, actress Val Barri, are active in charities supporting cancer research, restoring hope for inner-city youth, and animal rescue. They live in Los Angeles.
