Interscope Records Artist Keke Palmer Earns Kids' Choice Award Nomination for Nickelodeon Series 'True Jackson, VP'

Sixteen-year-old Interscope Records artist Keke Palmer has been honored with a Kids' Choice Award nomination for Favorite TV Actress.
(Santa Monica, CA) Sixteen-year-old Interscope Records artist Keke Palmer has
been honored with a Kids' Choice Award nomination for Favorite TV Actress, competing
in the same category as children's television superstars Miley Cyrus, Selena
Gomez and Miranda Cosgrove. Keke stars in the title role of the Nickelodeon
sitcom "True Jackson, VP." Kids may vote for the nominees beginning
February 25th at nick.com. The 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards will air on Nickelodeon
on Saturday, March 27th.
For the same role, she has also been nominated for an NAACP Image Award for
Outstanding Performance in a Children's Television Program, which she won in
2009. Her breakthrough portrayal of Akeelah Anderson in the sleeper hit Akeelah
and The Bee won her an Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture
in 2006.
Harvey, Illinois native Palmer signed with Interscope Records in late 2009
and is currently recording music. A new album is expected in the near future.
