Sherman Oaks-based Make It Happen Productions (MIHP) is pleased to begin a relationship with D Agency Creative, a Los Angeles branch of the Discovery Channel. Their first production together will shoot this month in Chicago promoting the upcoming competition series ‘The Big Brain Theory’. Actor Kal Penn, of ‘Harold and Kumar’, hosts the upcoming series and stars in the campaign. As they have in the past, for such successful series’ as ‘Nip Tuck’, ‘The Shield’ and most recently ‘Real Music Live’, MIHP will produce the promotional campaign to launch the new series, which is set to debut in spring of this year on the Discovery Channel.

Also garnering attention in the early part of the year is the promotional campaigns MIHP produced for the 2013 Juno Awards, featuring host Michael Bublé. The comedic spots also featured Avril Lavigne and Nickleback front man Chad Kroeger and aired during the Canadian telecast of the Superbowl to an overwhelming response. MIHP was hired to produce this campaign based on Canadian based Bell Media’s positive experience with MIHP during previous years of productions.

Additionally, MIHP is privileged to be partnering with Los Angeles based 360 Agency to produce a commercial and public service announcement. AT&T and ‘American Idol’ season eight break-out-star Adam Lambert have joined forces for this project to support the Trevor Project and their work with the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered Questioning youth. The team at MIHP is honored to be participating in a project with such a noble cause.
