THE 1ST ANNUAL ATLANTA UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL

DEADLINE - May 14, 2004��late deadline - June 9 , 2004

Festival dates: AUGUST 27-31, 2004

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
A completed entry form and an entry fee must accompany each
film or video submitted. Entries must be submitted on 1/2"
(standard VHS in either NTSC or PAL/SEACAM formats)
videocassette or NTSC DVD. Foreign language work must be
dubbed or subtitled in English. In addition to your entry, please
enclose any press kits, reviews, or publicity materials you might
have.

ENTRY FEES
$15 per entry postmarked by May 14, 2004.� $20 for entries
postmarked after May 14 and received by June 9. Submissions
received after June 9 will be considered for the following year's
festival. Entry fees must be in U.S. funds only. Checks or money
orders should be made out to Atlanta Underground Film Festival.


ONLINE CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS
An Extra $1.00 fee is charged for Paypal Submission Payments.





SHIPPING
Cost of shipping exhibition prints to the festival is the responsibility
of the entrant. Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival
prepaid.�� The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or
loss of materials while in transit. Please use only plastic or bubble
pack cases when shipping entries.

CONFIRMATION
Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard if you wish to
receive confirmation that your entry has been received.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Programming decisions are made by the festival directors and our
selection committee. We will notify filmmakers by email. If
accepted, the presentational format will need to be in our office by
August 6, 2004. The festival does not pay rental fees for submitted
work that is programmed. Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your
film/video as well as any other special screening/presentation
information we might need to know.

AWARDS
Although the art of filmmaking is not competitive, The Atlanta
Underground Film Festival does give awards. The festival jury will
present awards to films and videos selected as best in these
categories: Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary
Feature, Documentary Short, Experimental, Animation, and "Made
in Atlanta". An Audience Choice award will also be presented.

RETURN OF SUBMISSION TAPES
Due to the large number of entries received submission materials
and videos will not be returned.
