Video Contests, Film Festivals, and Awards

Reel Venus Film Festival was launched in July 2003 to celebrate the diversity of film/video work directed and written by emerging and established women filmmakers from the United States and Abroad by showcasing film/video shorts from all genres, that push traditional boundaries in storytelling methods which inspire, provoke, inform and entertain audiences with challenging images, topics, and themes.

In addition to showcasing a rich body of work on an annual basis, Reel Venus will strive to fulfill the following creative programming initiatives as a form of outreach to women filmmakers, the public and film community at large.
