The 11th New York African Film Festival will open with the US Premiere of Critical Assignment, an action thriller that combines stunts and special effects with a strong humanitarian message.

AFF also marks "Ten Years of South African Democracy" with a collection of classic and contemporary films demonstrating a dynamic society moving from apartheid to an egalitarian future.

Let�s Talk About Sex� is a part of the festival program that explores controversial issues through four films on treatment of sexual minorities in the African context and offers a forum for public discourse.
