The Mill Valley Film Festival, October 7 - 17, 2004 (MVFF) will take place at the Cin�Arts Sequoia, in downtown Mill Valley; and at the Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael, the California Film Institute's year-round cinematheque. CALL FOR ENTRIES 2004

When can I send in my entry?
If you have a film or video you'd like to submit for consideration for the 2004 MVFF, we will be accepting entries from April 1st onwards.

What kinds of films are eligible for MVFF?
We consider all genres-features, shorts, documentaries, family/children, new media, video art, experimental film.

How long can a short be?
Shorts may be any length, and may be considered for our popular daily shorts series, Five @ Five, as part of a thematic compilation, or as a short before a feature. We use 60 minutes as a general guideline for where feature-length begins.

If I'm accepted into MVFF, what formats do you show?
All our theatres are set up for 35mm throughout the festival; some screens are also available for 16mm and Beta SP. Other digital formats may be available, but Beta SP is what we can guarantee.

Early deadline: May 31, 2004
Final deadline: June 30, 2004
Entry fees: $25 postmarked by May 31; $35 after May 31.
Youth fee, (18 & younger, copy of ID required): $10 by May 31, $15 after May 31
Genres: features, shorts, documentaries, family/children, new media
Preview format: 1/2" VHS
Screening format for films accepted to MVFF: 35mm, 16mm, Beta SP. Other digital formats by arrangement
