ASC To Host Open House And Online Internet Chat

The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) will host their annual open house and live Internet chat with many of the world�s most talented filmmakers prior to the 19th Annual Outstanding Achievement Awards. The ASC Clubhouse will be open for visitors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PST) on Saturday, February 12. The Internet chat (www.theasc.com) will originate from that same site from noon to 3 p.m. (PST).

Participants in the open house and chat are expected to include Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Fred Koenekamp, ASC (Patton, Islands in the Stream, The Towering Inferno); ASC Presidents Award recipient Richard Moore, ASC (Annie, Winning); ASC Board of Governors Award recipient Gil Cates (producer-director); International Achievement Award recipient Tonino Delli Colli, AIC (Life is Beautiful, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in America); and film critic/commentator Leonard Maltin, who is receiving an award of distinction.

This year�s nominees for ASC Outstanding Achievement Awards are also expected to participate. Feature film nominees include Dion Beebe, ASC, ACS and Paul Cameron (Collateral), Caleb Deschanel, ASC (The Passion of the Christ), Bruno Delbonnel, AFC (A Very Long Engagement), Pawel Edelman, PSC (Ray) and Robert Richardson, ASC (The Aviator).

Television nominees include David Boyd (�Deep Water�/Deadwood); Thomas Del Ruth, ASC (�Gaza�/The West Wing); Nathan Hope (�Down the Drain�/CSI: Crime Scene Investigation); Chris Manley (�A Man A Mile�/CSI: NY); Alik Sakharov, ASC (�Long Term Parking�/The Sopranos); Larry Fong (Lost pilot); Jonathan Freeman (Homeland Security); Michael Goi, ASC (Judas); Clark Mathis (Medical Investigation pilot); Kramer Morgenthau (The Five People You Meet In Heaven); Alan Caso, ASC (Frankenstein pilot); Robbie Greenberg, ASC (Iron Jawed Angels); Peter Levy, ASC, ACS (The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers); Ben Nott, ACS (Salem�s Lot); and Kees Van Oostrum, ASC (Spartacus).
