The goal of the San Diego Screenwriting Contest is to guide aspiring writers to their success in Hollywood through opportunity, mentoring and unparalleled access to Hollywood decision makers. Knowing that Hollywood is starving for original voices, Contest Director, Lisa Alden, a producer/development executive with over 15 years in the movie business, will present to Hollywood the dreams of new writers. To that end, the San Diego Film Foundation intends to discover and connect talented screenwriters to decision makers in the business, and foster that talent to its maximum potential.

The San Diego Screenwriting Contest is jut one of the many events produced by the San Diego Film Foundation. The Foundation is an educational 501c3 nonprofit organization, our mission is to bring about a greater knowledge and appreciation of cinema through creative programming, which educates, enlightens and entertains.
