After a hugely successful first season and stellar ratings, Showtime has renewed the Lionsgate-produced comedy, “Nurse Jackie” for a second season and has expanded its space at Kaufman Astoria Studios, taking Stage H to go along with their existing Stage G for a total of 24,000 square feet. Producer Kathy Ciric is on site at Kaufman Astoria Studios as the show gears up for the new season.

Staring Eddie Falco (“The Sopranos”), the show follows Nurse Jackie who struggles to balance her chaotic job and her turbulent personal life. Throughout the first season, the cutting-edge show has provided both raw, witty humor and touching, emotional drama. Critics have praised Falco’s rendition of a veteran ER nurse as the highlight of summer television. Her bittersweet character is cynical towards doctors, kind to her patients, and addicted to painkillers. Eve Best (“Vital Signs”) and Peter Facinelli (Twilight) co-star respectively as Dr. Eleanor O’Hara and Dr. Fitch Cooper. KAS Lighting handles all of the in-house stage work and locations.
