'30 Rock' Comes out on Top of Emmy Nominations

(New York, NY) The hit “Made in NY” show “30 Rock” has topped the list of nominations for the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. All together, television shows and digital productions based in New York City received an outstanding 88 nominations.

With 22 nominations, NBC’s “30 Rock” now has the record for most nominations awarded to a comedy series. Along with its cast, the show received nominations for its writing, directing, cinematography, picture editing, sound mixing, casting, and guest actors as well as for Outstanding Comedy Series.

“Damages” on FX received seven nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and nominations for cast members Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, and William Hurt. HBO’s “Flight of the Conchords” received six nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. “Saturday Night Live” was honored with thirteen nominations.
