William Ross, Emmy award winning composer, arranger, and conductor, serves as the musical director for Academy Award winning artist Barbra Streisand's 2013 World Tour. Ross has previously served as the musical director for Streisand's two previous tours. Ross received a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction for the documentary Streisand: Live in Concert. Ross has described Streisand as "Gracious, though definitely a perfectionist. She will work until she gets what she wants." Their fruitful collaboration continues with this world-spanning tour. A prolific composer, William Ross recently scored this year's Lifetime highest-rated movie, Steel Magnolias, a contemporary version of the stage play and 1989 film. The film was produced by Neil Meron and Craig Zadan. Virtually simultaneously, Ross collaborated with the producing duo as the musical director of this year's Academy Awards which was produced by Meron and Zadan.

William Ross has composed music in virtually every film genre from animated to intense action and drama to heart-warming stories. Ross' credits include The Tale of Despereaux, Ladder 49, The Game of Their Lives, Tuck Everlasting, The Young Black Stallion, and My Dog Skip. His television scoring credits include the critically acclaimed mini series Me and My Shadows, Life with Judy Garland and the Emmy-winning music for the Tiny Toon Adventures' episode "Fields of Honey."

William Ross has arranged music for a remarkable list of artists including Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Kenny G., Sting, and Quincy Jones. Ross has orchestrated for legendary composers including John Williams, James Horner, Alan Menken and Alan Silvestri. Ross's arrangements have been featured in the opening ceremonies of several Super Bowls and Olympic Games, and he received an Emmy in 2009 for Outstanding Original Music for his work on the "Hugh Jackman Opening Number," featured during the 81st Academy Awards ceremony. Ross has received Emmy Awards, BMI Film Music Awards and was nominated for an Annie Award.
