Tom will discuss what is required from gear, location and what it takes to shoot great adventure images. He will show creative ways to light on location in the field, and look at how high speed sync is changing how he approaches shooting action sports. Tom will also give insight on what his customers typically ask for.

Tom Bol is an editorial and commercial photographer based in Colorado. He specializes in adventure sports, portraits and travel. He is a contributor to many publications including Digital Photo and Light It magazine. His commercial work varies from shooting advertising assignments to creating images for worldwide tourism campaigns. He is an instructor at Kelby Training, and Photo District News labeled him as one of the best photo workshop teachers in the country. Tom was on the list of National Geographic Adventure’s “50 of America’s Top Visionaries” for his photography, and Elinchrom, Lowepro and Nikon have featured his work. Recently he was interviewed by the New York Times about his photography style, and he speaks regularly at trade shows for Nikon and Manfrotto. His images and stories are published worldwide by a variety of clients.
