Cameras: News and Updates
The Tiffen Company, a leading manufacturer of award-winning accessories for the still imaging, video, motion picture and broadcast markets, is demonstrating its brand new Steadicam CURVE for GoPro® HERO® Products at the CE WEEK Line Show and Exhibits, held in New York, NY from June 26 - 27 (Booth 63). The newest member from the Academy Award-winning Steadicam family of products, CURVE is a stealth camera stabilizing system engineered for easy one-hand video shooting. The handheld ergonomic design weighs a mere ½ lb. and is compact enough to fit into your back pocket. The CURVE handle folds up and locks to frame to provide compact storage and portability, and for use as a GoPro® camera handgrip — making it ideal for capturing smooth video even on the wildest adventures.
“The Tiffen Company unveiled Steadicam Curve for GoPro® products at the NAB event just a few weeks ago and the response was overwhelming,” says Steve Tiffen, President and CEO, The Tiffen Company. “Steadicam has spent decades perfecting the technology of camera stabilization. The same award-winning technology used in Hollywood is at the very heart of the CURVE system. Whether it is extreme snowboarding, recreational sports or even a school play, every epic moment is captured with perfection.”
Garrett Brown, the inventor of Steadicam technology and 2013 recipient of the National Inventors Hall of Fame award, exclaimed, "My 1975 self would have been astounded by the new Steadicam lineup: particularly the brilliant little CURVE for GoPro, which stabilizes like the big rigs but is super agile! It's definitely the coolest Steadicam ever."
