Theatrics Announces First Round Semi-Finalists in Ultimate Online Audition Contest

The Ultimate Online Audition ContestSix Contestants Move One Step Closer to $10,000 Grand Prize and the First MPTV Star Title

(Houston) Theatrics, creator of the first Mass Participation TV series, announced the first six semi-finalists for the Ultimate Online Audition Contest, a nationwide talent contest to find the first Mass Participation Star. The six semi-finalists advance to final round with a chance to be selected by Actor/Director Jonathan Frakes for the Grand Prize, $10,000 and trip for two to Hollywood.

Actors from every coast got into character and submitted their online video auditions at theatrics.com. These six semi-finalists will join 12 more in the final round to be judged by Jonathan Frakes, known for his role as Commander Riker on Star Trek Next Generation as well as many other acting and directing credits.

Four weeks ago, Theatrics launched the Ultimate Online Audition Contest challenging actors from every skill level to test their star quality and audition to become the first Mass Participation TV Star. There are still two more audition rounds left in the contest.

  • Audition Round Two: December 11 – December 31, 2011
  • Audition Round Three: January 1, 2012- January 24, 2012
Theatrics' Mass Participation TV series "Beckinfield" is the only social TV experience where anyone can create a character and play a part in a professional plot driven show. "Beckinfield" is an online science-fiction mystery set in a fictional small town. Subscribers create and play a character by submitting video blogs relating to the ongoing story.

There are still five more weeks left in the contest and anyone can enter. At the end of the contest, Jonathan Frakes will select the best video of the 18 finalists and announce the Grand Prize winner.
