(New Orleans, LA) - Director John LaTier, who recently wrapped production in New Orleans on the feature length film "The Tell-Tale Heart" starring Patrick John Flueger, Rose McGowan and Peter Bogdanovich, is location scouting in the south for his next film "Pure."

Hoping to reconnect with some of the cast from "The Tell-Tale Heart," La Tiers script for "Pure" has been years in the making, and he is thrilled to finally be bringing it to life.

At this point, I am just trying to decide between filming in Louisiana or Mississippi, but it will definitely be filmed in the south, says LaTier. The tax credits offered in most of the southern states have made it a young directors dream come true.

Both states offer competitive tax incentives for film production enticing professionals to the area and have created infrastructure and crew base to accommodate the rise in feature films being shot from Atlanta to New Orleans.

So many great films are being shot here everyday on all budgets its amazing to see so much creativity supported by great states like Louisiana, Mississippi and Georgia, says LaTier.

An original drama, the tale is about a man who tries desperately to save his wife during the last days of her battle with a terminal illness. LaTier was inspired by his great grandparents who were married 75 years.

I watched them in their last year together and was touched by the way my grandfather would do anything to make his wife happy and keep her alive longer.
