Representatives with SubmitTheDocumentary.com announced that it has officially partnered with PLUSprogram.org to provide schools with an educational program that combines the cyberbullying film with youth leadership and school safety planning.

“Schools need a combination program that educates and empowers students to create change in their own schools,” said Kristin Matysik, marketing director for Submit the Documentary, a film that focuses on cyberbullying and solutions to the growing problem.

Matysik explained that the SUBMIT-PLUS Program, which is now available, will also give students a mixed-media presentation that will promote the change that is needed to end bullying.

"Schools must bring students into the conversation and empower them to address the topic of cyberbullying among their peers," stated John Vandenburgh Founder of the PLUS Program and creator of the internet safety software CyberBully Alert. "We are humbled to work alongside SUBMIT and offer schools across the country a unique youth empowerment assembly and training program that will put students on the front-line with their peers to address these critical issues that are happening in the cyber world."

The launch of the SUBMIT-PLUS Program has perfect timing in the light of new tragedies and rising statistics on cyberbullying and bullying in schools. According to the Cyberbullying Research Center, more than 20% of students report experiencing cyberbullying in their lifetimes.

In the last two weeks cyberbullying has taken two more victims: Canadian girl Taylor Moldvan who was 17 years old and Gabrielle Molina from Queens in New York who was only 12 years old.

Part of the reason the partnered program launched, according to Matysik, is due to the fact that cyberbullying affects many adolescents and teens on a daily basis and many times it is causing a large distraction in the classroom.
