Romain Gavras Uses RED Epic to Shoot Music Video for Jay-Z and Kanye West

Romain Gavras's cinematic approach to music videos (he's responsible for M.I.A.'s "Born Free") continues with his video for Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild." Gravas used the RED EPIC for the high speed shots.

Simon Bourne, colorist at Framestore, graded the video and describes the unique look for 4rfv.com. Gavras and Jay-Z "briefed Simon to create a documentary style grade that showed day as day and night as night." This became a "huge challenge due to the extreme variation of light and dark."

Watch the video to see this unique vision that EPIC helped realize.
