Exactly one month ago Gabriel Cordell, 42, began his journey across America from the Santa Monica Pier to West Hempstead, New York in his wheelchair. He is filming a documentary that chronicles the physically brutal, and emotionally draining, journey hoping to inspire people everywhere to seek more out of life. The journey will bring wheelchair awareness to the public, while also serving to inspire people of all abilities to realize that no person need be constrained by their past or physical circumstances.

The camera crew following this adventure, and the ensuing documentary, is being directed and produced by award winning filmmaker Lisa France, and will inspire viewers for generations.

“This is the most inspiring undertaking I’ve had yet as a filmmaker. In addition, it’s the most challenging. The outpouring of generosity that we are experiencing from all of the donations, and gifts-in-kind from around the world is overwhelming,” said France. “And, over this first landmark leg, every single supporter from Goodyear, AZ, Mitchell Joseph, CEO and President of West Coast Chill, to the Apache Gold Casino to now celebrating 1,000 miles at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque overwhelms us with gratitude."

“We are so excited to be the 1,000 mile mark for Mr. Gabriel Cordell and his Roll with me Team! Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque‪, soon to be Isleta Resort & Casino will be there to welcome them to our property with open arms,” stated Pamela Gallegos, CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque‪. “Reflective of the warm and welcome nature of the Isleta Pueblo, we will be there to help their team rest and refuel for the remainder of their encouraging journey.”

Cordell and his crew will arrive May 1st, 2013 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque at noon. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Albuquerque‪ would like to invite the public to attend the celebration of this milestone for the “Roll With Me” Team.

At this time, the “Roll With Me” team is accepting private contributions and corporate sponsorships in order to offset the funds needed for filming the documentary and producing the trip. Over $250,000 will eventually be needed, but that figure only includes part of what’s needed for post-production. Those who wish to contribute can do so at http://rollwithme.org.
