Reliance Big Pictures All Set for a Worldwide Release of Simerjit Singh�s "Chak Jawana" Starring Gurdas Mann on August 27th , 2010

Reliance Big Pictures is all set for a worldwide release of Punjabi film Chak Jawana on August 27, 2010. The film stars of one of Punjabi cinema’s legendary actors Gurdas Mann in a pivotal role.

(Mumbai, India) Commenting on the release, debutant director Simerjit Singh says, “Chak Jawana is very close to my heart. The film takes a strong stand against the existent youth issues present in the Indian societies and how if lead well, the young generation has enormous capabilities to excel. It has some excellent performances and music and I am happy to associate with Reliance Big Pictures for such a beautiful film.”

Chak Jawana has been scripted by Simerjit himself with Rupinder Chahal and has music by Jaidev Kumar who has composed music of films like Mini Punjab, Sukhmani, Tera Mera ki Rishtaa

Synopsis:

'Chak Jawana' highlights the problems faced by youth in a Punjabi village. The young men fall prey to drugs, become irresponsible and disturb the peace. The elders despair about the future of the community. Captain Gurjeet Singh (Gurdas Maan) arrives on a month's home leave from the Indian Navy. He pledges to reform the youth and helps them overcome their weakness.The film has a powerful message on family values, determination and hope.
