RMIT Screenwriting Student Wins Australian Writers Guild Script Competition

Congratulations to RMIT University Screenwriting student Graeme Simsion, the winner of the Australian Writers’ Guild 2010 RomCom Script Competition.

Mr Simsion’s The Rosie Project was selected from a huge number of entries and a shortlist of successful, professional screenwriters.

He now has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop his project with two of the world’s leading romantic comedy gurus, Michael Hauge and Steven Kaplan.

The Rosie Project centres around a genetics professor with Asperger’s Syndrome who decides he needs a wife and goes about finding one with meticulous planning and scientific method.
