Pandora Founder Scheduled to Speak to Top Technologists, Entrepreneurs and Policymakers

(Arlington, VA) The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced that Tim Westergren, chief strategy officer and founder of Pandora, will deliver a keynote address at the 2013 International CES® Leaders in Technology (LIT) Dinner. Owned and produced by CEA, the 2013 International CES, the world's largest consumer electronics tradeshow, is scheduled January 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Leaders in Technology Dinner will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the Lafite Ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas. The invitation-only event honors the top technologists, entrepreneurs and policymakers instrumental in furthering technology innovation.

Westergren started the popular personalized radio service in 2000 with the Music Genome Project®. He is an award-winning composer and an accomplished musician with 20 years of experience in the music industry – spanning production, audio engineering, film scoring and live performance. Trained as a jazz pianist, his musical background spans such genres as rock, blues, jazz and classical music. In addition to guiding Pandora's overall strategy and vision, Westergren spends most of his time as Pandora's chief evangelist – traveling the country to connect with some of the tens of millions of people who listen to Pandora.

Former LIT Dinner speakers include Skype CEO, Josh Silverman; Netflix Co-Founder and CEO, Reed Hastings; and eBay Inc. President and CEO John Donahue.

The Leaders in Technology Program at CES allows high-level public policymakers and technologists to learn from more than 3,000 exhibitors and thousands of new products that contribute to a dynamic industry that supports an expected $1 trillion in retail sales worldwide. The program also provides information and insight to assist officials in evaluating federal policies that affect the consumer electronic industry.

The 2013 CES will feature 3,000 global technology companies unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services across 15 major product categories including the latest in audio, automotive electronics, connected home technologies, digital imaging/photography, electronic gaming, entertainment/content and more.
