Deal Marks Growth of Odyssey's Consortium of Indie Producers

(Dallas) Odyssey Pictures Corporation (OPIX: OTCQB) (Odyssey), a publicly traded media and entertainment company has confirmed a co-marketing agreement with Parkland Pictures Ltd. (Parkland), a London-based feature film production company and international sales agency. The deal encompasses co-production, financing and joint sales activities.

Odyssey will provide funding to propel specified Parkland projects into next stages of development and retains a first right of refusal to provide Parkland with production funding. The two companies will also selectively engage in joint sales and marketing outreach for each other's inventory of titles.

Some of Parkland's completed live action films that Odyssey's producers' representative service will include in its roster of titles under representation include "The Heavy," "The Tender Hook" and "L'Amour Cache." In turn, Parkland will co-market Odyssey's many TV/DVD titles, including "Vauban," "Kings of France," "On the Farm," and "Pang-Pang Fighter."

Odyssey and Parkland jointly exhibited at this year's Cannes Film Festival and will continue to do so in upcoming markets like MIPCOM and AFM. This latest strategic partnership solidifies Odyssey's ongoing business model of providing a platform of financial and marketing support for a consortium of independent content developers and marketers. Other such Odyssey partners include, D.P.M., Inc., Foothill Entertainment and ORG Studios, USA.

"Parkland Pictures is a very strong addition to Odyssey's family of independent producers," remarked Odyssey's CEO John Foster. "Parkland not only provides us an infusion of live action titles to work with, but also gives Odyssey a base of operations in London."

"Odyssey has already begun providing us with significant support in the areas of marketing and sales," commented Parkland's founder and Director, John Cairns. "What's more, John Foster brings enormous industry experience and sophistication to our business transactions."
