"Welcome to Harlem," the Movie, is a feature length musical comedy film currently in post-production. Filmed in New York, "Welcome to Harlem" is written, directed, drawn, filmed, designed, and composed completely by artists currently living in Harlem, New York City. After a grueling 6 week shoot from March 19th to April 30th, the film is almost ready to be seen by the world. Following summer screenings and fall Film Festivals, "Welcome to Harlem" is officially set to premier at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, NYC on November 5th, 2011. Inspired by their lives and by their community, the film crew and production team is on a mission to deliver an experience unlike any you have ever had before.
