LOS ANGELES-- Audiences on the West Coast will be treated to the premiere screening of the just-released documentary "Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off" at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Raleigh Studios, located at 5300 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by R&B singer and reality star Norwood Young, who is featured extensively in the documentary. Directed by Thomas Gibson and narrated by syndicated radio/talk show host Wendy Williams, "Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off" tells the explosive tales of video dancers who exploit themselves and trade sex for more face- and body-time in music videos. As its case study, the documentary centers on its most famous video recruit - that is, Karrine "Superhead" Steffans.

Interestingly, the premiere screening comes on the heels of Steffans' third book release, the "Vixen Manual." In 2005, Steffans stunned readers and rocked the music industry with her best-selling, tell-all book, "Confessions of a Video Vixen," exposing her reckless lifestyle and sexual trysts with "A-list" celebrities and some of the biggest names in the world of hip hop. The book evoked an array of emotions throughout the music industry from anger to utter disgust. Two years later, Steffans followed up with "The Vixen Diaries" and to Young's surprise, the first chapter was titled, "A Man Named Norwood." According to Young, a chapter filled with lies and deceit. "I was the only man in the book that didn't sleep with her, and still got screwed!" said Young.

Others participating in the documentary, revealing the true side of Steffans include familiar faces in music and entertainment, including R&B/hip hop artists Ja Rule, Akon, Big Boi, Kool G Rap Juelz Santana, and Ma Barker along with Bishop Don "Magic" Juan, model Tyson Beckford , actor Darius McCrary as well as porn stars Mr. Marcus and Suave XXX -- just to name a few. Pamela Des Barres, the bestselling-author of "I'm With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie" offers commentary from a female perspective. "I merely shared my outrage of being dragged into Karrine's web of money-making lies, designed to hurt and destroy lives," said Young.

"Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off" should be required viewing for any woman, trying to break into the entertainment business as a video vixen. The gritty, in-your-face documentary shows the perks and pitfalls of women who choose to sleep their way to the top in the hip hop music industry. "It was a good story to tell, and a story that hasn't been told," said Gibson, the director. "Girls don't see the ugly side of the business. It's not all glamour."

"I believe that everyone who felt compelled to participate in the documentary now understands that when you lay down with dogs, you wake up with fleas," added Young. And thanks to Steffans' fodder about him in her book, he was inspired to write his memoirs.

Young has just finished putting the final touches on his book, "Getting Back to My Me," written with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Karen Hunter. The memoir chronicles his life from sexual and drug abuse to the perils of Hollywood, and eventually finding true happiness. Also, the book includes a compelling chapter about his account and relationship with Steffans. Pre-sale of the book is slated for September 2009. To learn more, visit www.justnorwoodmusic.com.
