On January 25, 1980, Robert L. Johnson and John Malone launched and based the BET Television Network in Washington, D.C. and in 2006 Tyler Perry based his production and studio in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1991 Robert Rodriguez and Quinten Tarantino claimed Austin, Texas as a film and studio base along with the emerging South by Southwest Festival (SXSW). Now National Cinematic Artist (NCA) has claimed and placed their company flag firmly in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area known as "The DMV" aka Washington, D.C. National Cinematic Artist (NCA), is the flagship parent company of Henson Entertainment, Dreamcore Productions, Sonday Motion Pictures, Equal Opportunity Music and Films, NCA Television (Cable), Dreamcore Television (Cable) and Equal Opportunity Music (BMI). In only 4 years, NCA has produced and owns content to films that include and/or feature Bill Cosby, Dick Gregory, Taraji P. Henson, Redd Grant, Clifton Powell, Georgianna Robertson, Joe Theismann, A.J. Calloway to name a few. This does not include the vast amount of raw footage of these entertainers that can be licensed for news and original features. NCA also distribute classic films starring Frank Sinatra, Frankie Lymon and Oscar Micheaux. Upcoming films include veteran actor Leonard L. Thomas known for his work in six Spike Lee films and nine films with Samuel L. Jackson and Robin McClamb known for her work with Halle Berry and Queen Latifah.
