"LuckyMig" is a new Orange County based production company that will be releasing two short films directed by Miguel Galindo to local and national film festivals. The short films, "The Mustache Rules" and "Escape From OC" are both comedies filmed in 2012. With another short film currently in production and a feature film in pre-production, LuckyMig plans to release more media before the end of 2013 and expand.

LuckyMig is fortunate to have great talent behind its efforts. Actors Ian Ferguson and Mohirah Hall star in "The Mustache Rules," and also wrote the script. The film is a clever comedic tale about the unknown, yet highly important scroll a lone man carries describing the rules one must obey when wearing a mustache. 'With great mustache comes great responsibility.' The first destination for that film is the popular comedy website Funny or Die.

Just months later, Ian and Mohirah joined actress Alena Dawn to star in "Escape From OC." This comedy written and directed by Miguel Galindo has its own apocalyptic plot built into itself, with 3 friends causing mayhem as they race down the PCH to their friends boat. No one is sure whether the zombie apocalypse is actually happening, so the group splits up. Are they idiots, or better safe than sorry? 'It's the zombie apocalypse. It's hard not to shoot your friends.'

Low budget film production can be challenging. "With extremely low post production budgets and scheduling conflicts, both films took a while to be fully completed," says Director Miguel Galindo. "After waiting for another entity to officially form that helped produce the films, I chose to release the films under my own company 'LuckyMig' and pick up where the other entities left off financially and organizationally."

"The Mustache Rules" and "Escape From OC" will be released to film festivals nationwide, with release dates for digital distribution and Blu-Ray to be announced this summer.
