(Dallas, TX) - "The 48 Hour Film Project starts this weekend and local filmmakers can still register to participate through noon Thursday," the producers of the event said today.

The annual filmmaking challenge is set for June 15 - 17 in North Texas. Participants are required to film, edit, shoot and deliver a four to seven minute film within 48 hours.

Participants will also benefit from the generosity of local production companies and businesses who have stepped up to help North Texas area filmmaking teams during the Project. MLD Equipment Rental, Inc. is offering a 50% discount to all teams who rent equipment from their company, subject to certain conditions and availability according to Logan Hess with MLD. Agora Entertainments Jason Kabolati has generously donated the use of their studio sets, subject to availability, for team shoots, they must be scheduled through Daniel(at)agoraentertainment(dot)com.
