IAFT Now Offering Short-Term Workshops with Top Industry Mentors in Venice, CA

(Los Angeles, CA) The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) is expanding its short-term workshop program with courses based in Los Angeles, and launches with a new Acting workshop featuring top industry talent Michael Biehn. The first workshop, �On Set / Intensity / On Action,� is a rare opportunity to work with this veteran Action star (The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss), and will be held July 25-26, 2009 at The Electric Lodge in Venice, CA.

�On Set / Intensity / On Action� is a special two-day intensive workshop focusing on three main topics: The Profession, Concentration and Intensity. Offering his approach to acting, working with top directors and what has helped him to star and succeed in some of the best Action blockbusters to come out of Hollywood, Michael will help actors particularly interested in Action films gain a better understanding of the emotional intensity required for this genre.

Michael Biehn is an American actor best known for his leading roles in major Hollywood Science Fiction / Action films such as James Cameron�s The Terminator, Aliens and The Abyss. He has also acted in other genres, including the 1993 Western Tombstone and Action films like The Rock and Planet Terror. Michael has also starred in the casts of several TV series, including �Hill Street Blues,� �The Magnificent Seven,� �Adventure, Inc.� and �Hawaii.�
