(Key West, FL) - Event organizers today officially announced the inaugural Key West Film Festival (KWFF) to be held in Key West, November 29-December 2, 2012. Sponsors, members, and potential festival attendees got an insiders peek at whats in store for the KWFF at a Preview Party, this past Tuesday in Key West.

Included in these details was a lineup that features screenings and special events hosted at landmark venues throughout Key West, including the Tropic Cinema and San Carlos Institute.

The four-day program will feature 25 films spanning multiple genres and categories, as well as social events including a kickoff party and awards dinner gala.

At Tuesday's Preview Party in Key West, Festival President Brooke Christian noted, "Key West is the perfect location for a film festival - it's a creative and artistic place and somewhere that we think the locals will enjoy sharing with festival attendees and that visitors will be eager to spend some time.

Added Director of Programming Michael Tuckman, "We've already had an enthusiastic response to this event from filmmakers and film lovers both locally and from outside the area. I think the clarity of our mission and our emphasis on local Florida-based films are two of the reasons that KWFF appeals to a broad group of people."

Film submissions, sponsorship and membership details, and ticketing information can be found on KWFF's website.
