(Los Angeles, CA) - Thorned Roses explores the world of prostitutes and escorts to consider the risks and benefits of this taboo and illegal profession.

McCloud follows the lives of prostitutes to get a rare, in depth view of the events in the life of a call girl, while soliciting the insight of patrons who pay for sex, and of the health advisors, psychiatrists and law enforcement officials who understand the long term effects prostitution has on the young women who make this their living. The Thorned Roses documentary, scheduled to launch in December of 2012, is a moving collaboration which questions an American society�s acceptance of prostitution as a victimless crime.

Icarus Mediaworks is an independent documentary film company comprised of talented individuals from a multi-national background to produce informative and inspirational media with a focused intensity and clear-cut visual design.
