The Next Dimension in Audio, AstoundSurround®, Now Playing at the 3D Film And Interactive Festival

(HOLLYWOOD, CA) GenAudio Inc., developer of AstoundSound® 3D sound localization cue technology, is participating at the 3D Film & Interactive Festival (3DFF) to demonstrate its groundbreaking AstoundSurround® multi-dimensional audio software applications for motion pictures, music and video games, now taking place through October 3. Attendees can experience headphone and speaker demonstrations throughout the festival at the Los Angeles Film School located at 6353 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.

To add clarity and depth perception to surround sound mixes, AstoundSurround spatial audio cues are incorporated during mixing to provide a perception of sound resonating from all angles, including above and directly behind the listener. GenAudio's AstoundSound process is based on more than 22 years of R&D into how the human brain actually processes audio information, advanced audio digital signal processing (DSP) methods and innovative software engineering. This 3D audio technology introduces elevation and depth perception into the audio environment, taking the 3D movie experience to the next level.

"GenAudio has developed software that can be used to place audio in every location possible around the listener. We can pinpoint sounds that emanate from above, below, behind--anywhere within or outside of the speaker field without the need for any additional playback equipment for movie theaters or in the home," said Jerry Mahabub, Chairman and CEO, GenAudio.
