New Optical Lenses, Data Protection and Archive Solutions, Award-Winning X-Series Digital Cameras and IS-mini on Display for Broadcast Industry

As a leader in the broadcasting industry, FUJIFILM North America Corporation will present several diverse, innovative products and services – including its market-leading optics, a new online storage service, the award-winning FUJIFILM X-Series digital cameras, and a color management tool for motion picture film – to visitors at the 2013 NAB Show, held April 8-11 in Las Vegas under the banner, Fujifilm. expect INNOVATIONTM.

FUJIFILM Optical Devices Division will exhibit in booth C7525 during the show, and FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc. will exhibit in booth SL13010.

“Fujifilm has a long-standing commitment to being a leader in the broadcasting industry, and our selection of high quality, finely-tuned products presented at NAB underscores Fujifilm’s promise to deliver outstanding products that exceed the industry’s expectations,” said Go Miyazaki, president and COO, FUJIFILM North America Corporation. “By investing heavily in R&D, Fujifilm has successfully developed core technologies that have led to advancements in professional-grade optics, storage solutions, motion picture film and proprietary sensors that set a new standard in excellence for business partners around the world.”

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division will feature a variety of new industry-leading, high-quality FUJINON lenses and products at the NAB show. Two high-performance lenses, the Premier PL 85-300 Cabrio lens (model ZK3.5x85) and the XA99x8.4 UltraWide field production lens, will make their NAB debut this year. While the PL 85-300 is similar in size and weight as the PL 19-90mm Cabrio (Model ZK4.7x19), its longer focal length makes it ideal for shooting documentaries, nature and wildlife, and commercials. Designed using the latest optical simulation technology, the PL 85-300 Cabrio not only offers exceptional optical performance in the center of the image but in the corners of the frame as well. The entire range of Premier PL 4K+ cine lenses will be in the booth. The 14.5-45mm T2.0, 18-85mm T2.0, 24-180mm T2.6, and 75-400 mm T2.8-T3.8 will all be on display.

The new XA99x UltraWide lens is ideal for producing live sports and entertainment events. An XA99xPF will also be on display with an enhanced version of Precision Focus Assist (PF), marking the first time this model has incorporated PF technology. Precision Focus Assist automatically adjusts focus, ensuring fast and accurate focus of HD images under varying conditions. The XA99x8.4 features a newly developed, patented image stabilization technology for rock-steady performance, which is critical for long-distance HD shots. High-resolution 16-bit encoders are standard, making it suitable for virtual, robotic, and digital signage, among other applications. FUJINON’s exclusive GO-TECHnology improves image resolution and reduces chromatic aberrations at all focal lengths.

FUJIFILM Recording Media U.S.A., Inc., a leader in data protection and archiving, will feature its technologically advanced Permivault™ online storage service that gives users the option of both on-premise storage and cost-effective offsite archiving for secure, long-term data protection, replication and disaster recovery. This seamless integration of onsite and offsite storage is unique to Permivault, which was created specifically to meet the complex data management requirements of today’s businesses at a cost that enables companies to keep all their data online, secure, and always accessible.

Permivault online storage service provides a secure storage architecture powered by StrongBox® from Crossroads Systems, Inc. FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Electronic Imaging Division is excited to showcase its professional-grade FUJIFILM X-Series digital cameras that are designed to appeal to professional and advanced amateur photographers who appreciate extraordinary image quality and true craftsmanship.

Adding to the award-winning X-Series line of products, Fujifilm will show its newest and most advanced additions to the X-Series lineup – the newly-announced FUJIFILM X100S and FUJIFILM X20 premium digital cameras, along with the high performance FUJIFILM X-E1 and FUJIFILM X-Pro1 interchangeable lens system cameras that use a selection of impressive XF lenses.

Fujifilm will also show its flagship long zoom FinePix HS50EXR and FinePix SL1000 bridge style cameras that offer amazing telephoto capabilities and a wide range of shooting features in an all-in-one design that is easy to use.

FUJIFILM North America Corporation will also introduce the new IS-mini color management tool that takes incoming HD-SDI digital camera moving picture video and converts the color information via two sets of 1D LUTs and 3D LUTs to outputs of both HS-SDI and HDMI connections – all in record time while still delivering high quality imaging.  Fujifilm will also be demonstrating the CCBOXX (Image Processing System IS-100), an ACES based on-set color management solution with extraordinary precision and flexibility; and will host celebrated and award-winning cinematographer Dean Cundey, ASC in-person at its booth, for Q&As, autographs and demonstrations on Tuesday, April 9.
