(Vancouver, BC) - Vancouvers film and television industry is being taken to the next level today. Final Post Production and Technicolor Creative Services have entered into a strategic partnership to provide Technicolor Color Certified Digital Intermediate (DI) Finishing services in Vancouver.

Final Post Production will acquire and integrate Technicolor Vancouvers existing DI Theatre into their newly expanded facility. The transaction includes exclusive certification for Technicolors leading color science, as well as ongoing servicing of its film, television and commercial projects finishing in Vancouver.

Finals Editworks division will be re-launching a new Technicolor Color Certified DI Theatre in June 2012. The theatre will feature both Autodesk Lustre and Davinci Resolve grading systems, Real-D Stereoscopic 3D, and full access to Technicolor DI services including Digital Cinema Package (DCP) and film outs.

The company's aim is to combine their creative talent, technical resources and experience in order to deliver the highest quality post-production services available to the Vancouver market.

With Technicolors Vancouver facility now moving to the studios to concentrate on digital dailies, we saw an opportunity to work with them to support finishing services in Vancouver through Technicolors DI Color Certification said Don Thompson, President and Founder of Final Post Production.

With over two decades of experience working within the Vancouver film and television community, we have established a strong reputation for our integrated approach to Editorial, Finishing and Delivery. This partnership now allows us to leverage Technicolors expertise in Color Management and DI workflows to offer world class services to our clients, but with the creative innovation and flexible pricing that were known for.

In addition, Final Editworks has announced the hiring of key creative staff for its DI team:

Senior Colorists Claudio Sepulveda and Thor Roos DI Manager/Editor James Cowan Post Producer Jonas Young

Were excited for this new venture, says Thompson, Final is reinforcing our commitment to the Vancouver market with this significant investment. We want to recognize the growth and loyalty of our clients as their level of production has expanded, and now welcome the opportunity to extend these services to the wide array of studio clients working in Vancouver.
