(Dallas, TX) - EXC's piece "Stop. Watch. Love." is a short film, which blends live action miniatures and 3D animation to tell the story of a young boy who finds a magical device and changes the world around him. Unbound by the usual restraints of time, he explores his new found freedom, but will he be lost in this parallel universe forever? Or will love show him the way home?

Element X Creative is honored to be one of the 50 semi-finalists chosen out of over 15,000 entrants from all over the globe. The top 10 finalists chosen by the worldwide public will travel to Italy and have their films screened at the 2012 Venice Film Festival in September. There, the grand prize winner will be chosen by a world-class jury, including Ridley Scott. This winner will receive a $500,000 production grant to create an expanded version of their short film which will be produced by Ridley Scott, Michael Fassbender and the renowned team at Scott Free Films.

Brad Herbert, the film's director and EXC partner said, "We are so proud of our heartwarming silent film that speaks to every language. The film was conceived, shot and animated in a very condensed 4-week period by the talented, passionate artists here at Element X. It was hard work, but a truly rewarding creative endeavor."
