(Los Angeles, CA) - Daily Fiber Films, a group of professional filmmakers producing online comedy videos, was selected by L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, the largest comedy film festival in the USA, to screen two films in 2012, "Do Not Push" and "The Two Lovers", marking five films in three years. This little known comedy group is proving that, even online, quality filmmaking beats quantity when it comes to audience likes, comments, and viewer retention.

"We're professional filmmakers, so from day one we made a commitment to making high quality content we could be proud of," says Raymond McAnally, actor, writer, and co-founder of Daily Fiber Films. "We didn't have money to throw around, so we used what we had- experience and expertise as trained filmmakers. With no funds to advertise, we had to trust word would spread and an audience would build, that there were people like us out there who wanted to see something well made, every time. Looks like those folks are starting to find us."

The numbers, on a word of mouth level, certainly agree with McAnally's optimistic gamble. Daily Fiber, who's main presence is focused on the their YouTube Channel, jumped from 5,000 subscribers in October 2011 to over 19,500 today. At present, the channel isn't backed by a network or have anyone focused on marketing them. "We have to leave it up to the fans right now. We are too busy developing the next funny video", says Mark Nickelsburg, director and partner at Daily Fiber.

In January 2010, co-founders Raymond McAnally and Ryan Gould set a goal of producing a video a month. By March, their first two films were set to screen at the 2010 L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival. "It was the only comedy festival at the time that focused on the kind of short films we were making and we got in, twice" says Ryan Gould. The comedy festival lead to features on the homepage of Will Ferrell's FunnyOrDie.com and other sites. In October, due to a fan referral, Daily Fiber was featured by the youtube mega-hit channel TheStation2, part of Maker Studios. The focus of the feature was to introduce "the best small channels on youtube" and led to over 3,650 new subscribers in two days. Daily Fiber brought onboard a new collaborative partner in writer and director, William Philbin. In 2011, Mark Nickelsburg joined the team and they were selected once again to screen at L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, their home away from New York City.

Today, Daily Fiber Films is happy with what they've accomplished and have set their sights on where the company could go if people continue to spread the word. "If you look at our videos, our fans are incredibly supportive. We take pride in the fact our videos have hundreds of "likes" and only three or four "dislikes". Our comments section is filled with positive feedback, love for what we do, and a constant request that we make more videos", says McAnally. One need only click one of the twenty-five well loved videos by Daily Fiber Films to see this statement isn't just hype. The fact seems to be that quality online comedy videos, like the ones made by Daily Fiber Films, are out there and audiences are asking for them.
