On September 27th and 28th at Digital World Expo, Shahab Zargari from Assurance Advertising will hold a two-part Video Development class, leading attendees through the creative process of producing a promotional video.

Video is one of marketers' favored tactics for communicating the benefits of their products and services and connecting with consumers in an authentic, deep-reaching way. With the ability to humanize a company, tell a brand story, and entertain and inspire viewers to action, it's no wonder brands are jumping to develop and share high quality video content.

For the demonstration Zargari has chosen Rumgr, the mobile app created by former Zappos employees that helps people buy and sell with their neighbors and friends. Based in Las Vegas, the app already has high user adoption among locals who use it as a Craigslist and garage sale alternative, 'rummaging' in their neighborhood for cool finds, and earning extra cash by selling their stuff.

Key takeaways include:

Thursday, Session One (September 27th 4:30-5:30):

1. Interactive video development: Learn how agencies come up with concept and copy in a hands-on session.

Friday, Session Two (September 28th 11:15 – 12:15):

1. Standard digital video formats used today.

2. Popular applications for video editing and exporting.

3. Specific channel criteria (ex. YouTube and Vimeo).

4. Analysis of concepts and copy that came out of Session 1.

Members of the class will get a glimpse into the kind of behind the scenes work that has gone into some of the most memorable videos they've seen this year. They'll also gain valuable hands-on experience in the production of a unique 10-15 second video for a small company, opening them up to possibilities that are available for their own brand.
