(Los Angeles, CA) - During his twenty year career as a musician, Billy Harvey has placed songs with cable and network television as well as a number of films. Most recently, his song, 'We Are Giants' was included in DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: DOG DAYS, which was released in theaters nationwide on Friday.

Before moving to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas, Harvey starred in Mark Dennis and Ben Foster's debut feature film, STRINGS. In the film, Harvey plays a troubled musician who discovers his therapist is manipulating patients into committing vigilante crimes.

"Mark's script called for a song played on the piano, but we had no plan for what that song would be," Foster says. "We were at Billy's discussing scheduling plans for the movie when he played 'The Greatest Escape' for us on the piano. It was perfect".

Harvey also contributed several other music cues to the film's production and is featured in scenes playing his own music.
