(Atlanta, GA) -- Coffee Bluff Pictures will screen "Versailles '73: American Runway Revolution," a documentary about the legendary 1973 fashion showdown between the French and Americans, fittingly nicknamed the "Battle of Versailles" on May 19, 2012 at the Marche du Film at the Cannes Film Festival. Narrator Cameron Silver and director Deborah Riley Draper will introduce the film and entertain a short Q&A after the screening. Coffee Bluff Pictures will Ustream the post-screening Q&A. The Highland Film Group represents the film for international rights. The movie trailer will be released today via www.versailles73movie.com.

Versailles '73: American Runway Revolution follows the events leading up to the iconic fashion effrontery at the Chateau de Versailles on November 28, 1973 between American and French designers. The film recounts the event's beginnings as a fundraiser orchestrated by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert and Palace of Versailles curator Gerald Ven der Kemp, to raise money to restore the Palace of Versailles to the fierce competition that emerged between the lions of haute couture - Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Pierre Cardin, and Emanuel Ungaro, and American designers - Anne Klein, Stephen Burrows, Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta, and Halston to the ultimate upset when American designs outshined the French and forever changed the course of fashion history with great clothes and the tour de force, black models who sashayed down the runway.

"Cannes is the perfect place to introduce this haute new documentary about the most glamorous fashion show ever staged, says Director Deborah Riley Draper. " The film recounts the legendary night almost 40 years ago when French designers and American designers exhibited in front of the world's jet set to raise funds for the Chateau de Versailles and turned the fashion world upside down. So, France is returning to the scene of the crime."

Versailles '73: American Runway Revolution is a Coffee Bluff Pictures production, directed by Deborah Riley Draper and executive produced by Deborah Riley Draper, Caralene Robinson, and Michael A. Draper.
