(Chattanooga, TN) -- Southern Circuit Independent Film Series Continues with The Toe Tactic

Looking for a unique alternative to the typical Valentines Day routine? Avoid the crowds and celebrate early with the Chattanooga Film Society (CFS) as they continue the Southern Circuit independent film series on Monday, February 13 with a screening of The Toe Tactic at Loose Cannon Arts and Events at 1800 Rossville Avenue in Chattanooga's south side. In this introspective drama, a young woman comes to terms with her delayed grief over her father's death while simultaneously being shadowed by four mischievous animated dogs from another dimension. The film uses live action and animation to explore the interaction between the human and magical realms as the woman finds her way to reconnect with her world.

Director and animator Emily Hubley will be in attendance for a meet and greet session prior to the screening, which will open to ticket holders beginning at 6:30 P.M. The film will begin at 7:00 P.M. followed by a discussion with Ms. Hubley who will respond to questions and comments from the audience.

CFS President Dave Porfiri said that he is excited to host the fourth film in what has been a successful series so far. Its great to see attendance steadily growing at each event and we are thankful for the support of so many individuals and organizations in Chattanooga, Porfiri said. Were accomplishing our mission of engaging and educating our local community through the art of film. While there are other film events in town, our screenings our unique in that the filmmaker is always in attendance."

Tickets are available to anyone for $10 at the door and can be purchased online prior to the event at www.chattanoogafilmsociety.org/southerncircuit. Discounted tickets are also available to current CFS members.

The Chattanooga Film Society is a nonprofit organization that supports independent filmmaking locally, promotes professional film and television production across the region, coordinates local film education efforts and is currently working on the launch of a major film festival in downtown Chattanooga.
