(Virginia) - Indie-rock band, A Bad Think has released a new music video to debut the first single �Under The Stairs� off the upcoming album, Medicine. The production features critically acclaimed actress Mariel Hemingway, who plays the lead role as the wife of Marquart. The granddaughter of writer Ernest Hemingway and longtime actress, Hemingway was excited to be involved in the project, "Michael's music is thought provoking and timeless,� says Hemingway, who lives in California where the video was shot. �It was fun to work with someone so gifted."

Film director Derrick Borte (�The Joneses� in 2010) directed the video for �Under the Stairs� as he did for �Overstay� on Marquart�s last release, Sara Lee. �Collaborating with Michael was great,� says Borte. �We immediately clicked creatively on the first video, and with the new one we're heading in a very cool direction."

A Bad Think is the product of musician and producer Michael Marquart. The drummer, guitarist, keyboard player, singer and producer has played with A Flock of Seagulls and the Canadian super-group Alias, but it�s the music he makes with his solo project, A Bad Think, that�s closest to his heart. A music theory major in college, he found a home creating works of art in his private recording studio in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Marquart�s unique personal history and perspective is evident in all of his music.

Marquart�s daughter Samantha Marq, a multi-talented singer/songwriter, has supported A Bad Think�s musical stylings over the years. Her lush voice can be heard on a majority of A Bad Think�s tracks. To date A Bad Think has released three studio albums On My Own (2008), Simply Rhymes (2009), and Sara Lee (2010). On My Own was nominated for the 2010 eWorld Music Awards formerly known as the Hollywood Music Awards. Sara Lee, A Bad Think�s third outing, is an expansive musical tapestry. The album�s chiming guitars, rich, brooding bass lines, ghostly flutes and inventive percussion occupy a vast sonic and emotional space that pulls listeners into the unstable emotional world Marquart explores with these songs.
