Worldwide Sales Rights Seized For New Films "Savages Crossing" and "Kill Katie Malone"

(Los Angeles, CA) American World Pictures (AWP), a Los Angeles based independent motion picture distribution and production company, has nabbed the worldwide sales rights to "Savages Crossing" and "Kill Katie Malone".

"Kill Katie Malone" stars an ensemble cast known for their hit TV shows including: Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Masiela Lusha (George Lopez Show), Stephen Colleti (One Tree Hill), Lil J (Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven) and Nick Hogan (son of Hulk Hogan, Hogan Knows Best). The film centers on college students and best friends Ginger Matheson (Masiela Lusha), Jim Duncan (Stephen Colleti), and Kyle "Dixie" Canning (Lil J), who pool their cash to buy a "ghost" in an online auction. The three think it's all a goof, but once they open up the antique box to examine their "treasure," they unleash the vengeful spirit of a young girl who has been wreaking havoc on her owners throughout the generations.

"Savages Crossing", written and produced by John Jarratt, of the hit flick Wolf Creek, stars Craig McLachlan (Neighbours), Sacha Horler (Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole), Chris Haywood (Shine), Angela Punch McGregor (Terra Nova) and Jessica Napier (Ghost Rider). "Savages Crossing" tells of a group of strangers who take shelter in an outback roadhouse while a flood rages around them. But not everyone is who they first appear to be. The innocent among them quickly discover that the danger lurking within the roadhouse is far greater than the threat from outside. As the water levels rise, so does the tension, but taking sides could prove deadly.

Both films will be available at MIPCOM and AFM. President of Worldwide Distribution, Jeffrey Goldman stated, "The films we represent, here at MIPCOM and at other markets, reflect the diverse needs of the marketplace. We are very excited to be licensing films like 'Kill Katie Malone' and 'Savages Crossing'. We've continued to successfully adapt to the digital media revolution, and that's in no small part to the very marketable projects we work with, including 'Savages Crossing' and 'Kill Katie Malone'."
