Video Contests, Film Festivals, and Awards

This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (June 5-7, 2009) the 1st Annual Texandance International Film Festival will be held downtown at the Brauntex Theater. The kick-off reception will be on Friday from 5 - 7pm at the Huisache, and films start rolling at 7:30pm at the Brauntex. The reception will feature a silent auction to benefit the Friends for Preservation of Historic Landa Park, plus an opportunity to meet several of the filmmakers. The festival itself will have door prizes, special guests, and tons of fun. One of the door prizes is a Fender Strat guitar and a Marshall Amplifier. Tickets are available now at the Brauntex, Comal Flower Shop, and Barnard Donegan Insurance...or get them at the door. We'll see you at the movies!
