(Cebu, Philippines)--The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) announces its new Actors Residency Program, a three-week workshop open to all levels of actors who are looking for intensive training over a short period. Launching with three sessions in 2009, the program is designed for both experienced professionals as well as aspiring actors and students will complete the session with their own fully-edited demo reel. Located in the tropical island setting of Cebu, Philippines, IAFT, a wholly-owned subsidiary of film production company Bigfoot Entertainment, attracts talented students from all over the world who strive to develop skills necessary to gain a competitive edge in todays international film community.

The Actors Residency program is comprised of classes five days a week and students can choose to focus on three of any of the offered disciplines: Acting for TV/Film, Voice, Movement, Improvisation and Scene Study. Enrolled students will also have the opportunity to act in different student film projects as well as participate in a Bigfoot Entertainment feature film project. In 2009, IAFT will hold workshop sessions June 1-19, August 10-28, and October 19-November 6.

IAFTs new Actors Residency Program is an ideal workshop for actors seeking to build their demo reel while honing their training, said Keith Sensing, Executive Director, International Academy of Film and Television. At the same time, the program serves as a working vacation, set in an exotic island locale at a very competitive fee.

In addition to the new Actors Residency Program, IAFT offers numerous short-term workshops covering a wide range of acting, film and media competencies throughout the year. For complete information and schedules, please visit www.filmschool.net.
