Festival Dates: June 11 through 14, 2009
Location: Atlanta, Georgia

The Latin American and Caribbean Film Festival is now accepting submissions for short and feature length films. The festival accepts short films and feature films of any genre, either documentary or fictional, if they fit into one of these four categories:

1. Films by Latinos and Caribbeans about Latin Americans and/or Caribbeans or Latin America and/or Caribbean, including the Latin American and/or Caribbean diaspora.

2. Films by non-Latinos and/or Caribbeans about Latin America and/or the Caribbean or Latin Americans and/or Caribbeans.

3. Films by Latino and/or Caribbean about other topics/issues.

4. Films about other struggles that can be connected to Latin America and the Caribbean.

About the 4th Annual Latin American and Caribbean Film Festival 2009

The objective of the film festival series is to bring to light through film and video the current issues, realities, and histories of Latin American and Caribbean countries, with a special emphasis on African and Indigenous communities. The film festival also has as an objective to document the stories of migration of these communities, as they exist in North America, Africa, Asia and Europe. www.lacfilmfest.org
