When: September 23-29, 2018
The course explores shot design, camera technique, point-of-view, aspect ratio, lens selection, and scene coverage for single and multi-camera shoots. Students will also gain insight to the working relationship between the Director of Photography, the Director, their crew, their environment, and most importantly, their subjects.
Through lectures and extensive hands-on production, students will explore the techniques of reality, classic documentary, and narrative work to deepen their mental and physical understanding of scene coverage. From concept to execution, students will learn the critical elements that help ensure a successful edit. This is an operator-intensive workshop, filled with multi-camera, and single camera exercises.
