What kind of music editing software do you use and why?
At the moment, I use Audacity because I am a student and my budget is fairly limited. I heard many good things about Adobe Audition and FL Studio. I never tried them though.
Steinberg Cubase is my choice. I have tried other software but over the years, I have gotten used to the friendly user interface of Cubase. It’s stable, free of glitches, offers fast rendering and the price is moderate. I edit the sound for my projects in Cubase and I also use it for music.
I used Sibelius to write a few songs. It’s an easy to use software and it provides a wide range of instruments you can choose from. You can also see a preview of what you are writing. You will write down musical notes, which is exactly what I would have done with a pen and paper, if I would not have used this.
I have also used Audacity to record audio for a few projects because it’s a free resource that it’s easy to use and the quality is decent. A better paid alternative, in my opinion, is Adobe Audition, but because I use it very rare, I did not see the point of upgrading to Audition. 🙂
I used Adobe Audition once. I still have to learn how to use it better.
