I have previously started a debate, asking whether photography is a skill or a talent. Your insights have helped me understand that I do have a chance of becomming a good photographer if I work hard and study the art of photography.

With this in mind, I am asking for your advice once again. How do I get better at photography? What can I do to become a better photographer?

I think one of the most effective methods to become better at Photography is to find a mentor. You can learn a lot from someone with experience and know-how. You need to find a mentor who is on the same page as you. This is the hard part.

It’s really difficult to find a mentor, especially when you don’t have money to pay them.

My mentor is on YouTube. I am like a fan, watching all of his videos and practising by myself. In one of his videos, he said that you should take 1 picture each day. It doesn’t matter how you feel on that day. Take a picture. In one year, you will have 365 pictures.

I have watched many videos on YouTube. I did not take any of those content creators as a “mentor” and I have not watched all of their videos. Maybe I should. I only typed my questions on YouTube and watched those videos to learn more

Do you have a pet? You could use that pet as a model and make creative photoshoots. You could not only create great stock photos that you can upload on websites such as Shutterstock and maybe earn a few dollars, but you could also learn more about exposure, ISO and other settings.

Sadly, I live in rent at the moment and my landlord doesn’t allow pets. I do have a pet back at my parent’s. I could snap a few pictures when I go back home during Christmas.
