Folkestone, UK — The Folkestone Film Festival is thrilled to announce the launch of its third season! An IMDb-qualifying festival, this celebration of independent cinema invites filmmakers from all corners of the globe to submit their projects. Known for championing originality, bold storytelling, and excellent production values, the festival welcomes experimental and boundary-pushing submissions.

With year-round indoor and outdoor screenings, Folkestone Film Festival is more than just an event—it’s a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work and connect with audiences and industry professionals alike.

Submission Guidelines
Submissions are open via FilmFreeway, and films must be made downloadable for screenings in 1080p resolution. English subtitles are encouraged but not mandatory.

Important Details

• Shipping & Deadlines: Selected films must send materials to our Folkestone office (at the filmmaker’s expense).
• Eligibility: No premiere requirements for short or feature films; work-in-progress projects are accepted.
• Festival Screenings: Films may be featured in the festival’s curated program, which is subject to scheduling changes.
