Hello,
i m about to buy a videocamera to use in conjunction with an 35mm adapter.
Probably M2, but if you got someone else in the same $ range, plz suggest one.

What camera would you recommend to get that, oh so discussed film look?
24p, etc ?

regards

The Red One. It feels just like a film camera, but it is ultra-high definition digital, with four times the resolution of HDTV. Its digital sensor has the same size as super 35 mm film. It uses the same lenses as regular 35mm film cameras. So, you get the same depth of field as a film camera.

And, at this time, it is the only digital camera that does that.

The Red One is in the 20K $ range.
quite a bit, and considering u still got no lenses,
With lenses u fly up to around 28 thou.
thats a bit 2 much for my pocket to get an image right now.

Comparing the Panasonic XVX200 and the JVC GY-HD110U, which one would u go for?

The RED ONE is not the only digital camera with a single 35mm-sized sensor for 35mm-style depth of field. There is the Panavision Genesis, the Arri D20, the Phantom HD, the Dalsa Origin. The RED ONE, though, is the only affordable one in that group (in fact, it is one of the only ones you can purchase.)

JVC...it's got a real lens on it. It's also got a nice focus assist (not sure if the Panasonic does or not)
